Modera Wealth Hires Executive to Lead Post-Merger Integration

Modera Wealth Management has hired a former academic, CEO and credit union industry executive to join its ranks.

Victoria Honsinger Marrone, Ph.D., MBA and CFP has joined the Boston and New Jersey-based firm as a senior planning specialist. Modera formed from the merger of two wealth management firms — Back Bay Financial and Modera Inc. — and Marrone will lead the firm’s post-merger integration, the company said in a statement. She will also work with clients and other wealth managers in the firm’s Boston and New Jersey offices to build financial plans and manage investments. As of June 30, 2011, Modera managed more than $1 billion in assets.

Before coming to Modera, Marrone taught finance at the university level and was CEO and founder of Integrity Financial Planners. She spent many years in the credit union industry.

“It is rare to find someone who has the education, as well as the depth and breadth of professional experience, that Victoria has,” said Modera Wealth’s Principal and Wealth Manager John LeBlanc, CFP. “Her expertise in management systems and in the financial planning industry are tremendous assets to our team and to our clients.”
