Morgan Stanley Fires Office Complex Director

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney fired Frank LaRosa, a senior vice president and office complex manager in Philadelphia, just five months after he was promoted to the post, a Morgan Stanley spokesman confirmed Wednesday.

LaRosa had previously been a senior vice president and office complex manager at Morgan Stanley’s Southern New Jersey office in Mount Laurel, N.J.

“We’re not going to elaborate at this point,” company spokesman James Wiggins said of LaRosa’s departure from the firm. LaRosa declined to comment when reached by phone.

The finance executive was honored recently by On Wall Street magazine, MainStay Investments/New York Life for their Branch Managers of the Year Awards, which is given to 10 branch managers annually.

LaRosa joined MSSB’s Virginia office in 2004. He was promoted to the Philadelphia office last December, after serving as senior vice president and complex manager in Morgan Stanley’s Southern New Jersey office.
