StreamBase said it added a feed of investment information from Morningstar into its system for analyzing complex market conditions in real time.
The feed from Morningstar will provide users with enhanced access to global investment information across stocks, bonds and other classes of assets.
Customers will be able to integrate a wide range of data on stocks, indexes, foreign exchange, derivatives and research analysis, into a consolidated view of what's transpiring in global markets.
This will allow hedge fund and other asset managers the ability to "react to dynamic market conditions,'' according to Adam Honoré, research director at Aite Group.
StreamBase customers include CME Group, SunGard Data Systems, ConvergEx Group, RBC Capital Markets, CMC Markets, City Index and BlueCrest Capital Management. The company is headquartered in Lexington, Massachusetts.
Morningstar provides independent investment research in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Morningstar provides data on approximately 370,000 investments, including stocks, mutual funds and other vehicles, along with real-time global market data on more than 4 million equities, indexes, futures, options, commodities, and precious metals, in addition to foreign exchange and Treasury markets.
