Morningstar Partners With Pyxis to Deliver Fund Info

It will soon be easier for Morningstar customers to receive and analyze fund information.

The research company partnered with Pyxis Mobile, a wireless software company that caters to the financial industry, to provide mutual fund and exchange-traded fund data to fund wholesalers through their mobile devices. The service will be available next month.

Customers who use the Morningstar Mobile for Wholesalers can now quickly access and analyze Morningstar fund data from their Blackberry or Windows Mobile-powered devices.

It also allows wholesalers to compare various data points of the funds they are selling, which can help their financial adviser clients make more informed decisions about which investment products to recommend to investors.

The service is designed to help increase wholesalers’ productivity by freeing them from their desks and allowing them to spend more time in the field with clients and prospects.
