Morningstar’s Investment Advisor Garners First Three Clients For New Service

Morningstar Investment Services, a registered investment advisor and subsidiary of fund researcher Morningstar, said today that three distributors have opted to use its new investment management service, which will be available next month.

The three firms, Commonwealth Financial, of., Waltham, Mass., SIGMA Financial, of Ann Arbor, Mich., and KMS Financial, of Seattle, Wash., will be Morningstar Investment Service’s first clients to use the Managed Portfolios program.

The service provides a platform by which firms can distribute funds through their networks of financial advisors and includes portfolio management, back-office and relationship-building tools.
