Nationwide Exec to Retire

Robert Woodward, executive VP and chief investment officer at Nationwide and Nationwide Financial will retire after 37 years with the company. Woodward, who joined the company n 1964 as a mortgage loan underwriter, will leave when the firm names a replacement.

"His vision and strong leadership will be greatly missed by Nationwide and the many Nationwiders who have benefited from his mentorship," said CEO W. G. Jursensen, in a statement.

Woodward has held his current post at the Columbus, Ohio-based firm since 1995.
