Neuberger Postpones Vote on Lehman Takeover

Neuberger Berman has delayed its upcoming Tuesday shareholder meeting, at which it was going to put Lehman’s acquisition of the firm to a vote, Reuters reports. The firm has not yet set a new date for the meeting.

"The meeting has been deferred to allow the parties to meet customary regulatory requirements for closing the merger, including clearance of the proxy statement [and] prospectus relating to the meeting," Neuberger said in a statement. But both firms still expect the deal to close in the fourth quarter.
