New CFO Hired At Allianz Dresdner

Allianz Dresdner Asset Management, the Allianz Group's U.S. money management arm, has hired John Maney as its new U.S. CFO, replacing Robert Fitzgerald, who is leaving the firm in order to "spend more time with his family and pursue personal interests," according to a company announcement.

Fitzgerald will stay on as a consultant to the firm until 2002. He had served as the CFO to both ADAM and its predecessor, PIMCO Advisors, since 1994.

Maney, 42, will report to David Flattum, ADAM's managing director. He comes from Apria Healthcare Group where he served as that company's CFO. Prior to that, he was a partner with Arthur Andersen in Orange County, Calif.

ADAM manages more than $340 billion in assets through its subsidiaries PIMCO, Dresdner RCM Global Investors, Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management, Oppenheimer Capital, Cadence Capital Management and NFJ Investment Group.
