New Fund Flash

The following open-end funds were filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission in December:

* Meeder Asset Management filed late last month to launch the Meeder Advisors Capital fund and the Meeder Advisors Opportunity fund. Both growth funds will be sub-advised by Norwich Union Investment Management and will seek short and long-term capital appreciation.

The Advisors Opportunity fund will invest in mid- and large-cap companies that are believed to offer strong growth potential.The Advisors Capital fund will invest in large-cap growth stocks. Both funds' expense ratios will be 1.00%

* Eaton Vance filed to launch the Eaton Vance Large Cap Growth Fund and the Eaton Vance Small Cap Fund late last month. The new funds will be sub-advised by Atlanta Capital Management, an Eaton Vance subsidiary. The Large Cap Growth Fund will be managed by Daniel Boone, William Hackney and Marilyn Robinson Irvin. The fund's expense ratio will be 1.4%

The Small Cap Fund will be managed by William Hackney, Paul Marshall and Charles Reed. The fund will seek long term capital growth by investing in small cap stocks. Its expense ratio will be 1.75%

* Atlanta Capital Management also filed to launch the Atlanta Capital Intermediate Bond Fund. The fund's objective will be preservation of capital by investing in high grade debt and bonds with an intermediate duration. It will charge an expense ratio of .75%
