King's primary duties will be to oversee sales and marketing of NewRiver's services for three channels: mutual funds, insurance, and banking, she said.
King, who most recently ran her own financial services consulting firm, was initially reluctant to leave the independence of consulting, but found the idea of developing NewRiver's business within the GIS group appealing, she said.
'By separating sales and marketing from the consulting arm, NewRiver has demonstrated a commitment to the Global Investor Services unit,' King said, hinting at the possibility that NewRiver may expand the business unit.
