NICSA Launches Knowledge Base

MIAMI -- NICSA is in the process of launching a “knowledge base” on industry issues, regulations, technology and operations that will be available online to its members.

This store of knowledge will include white papers, research studies, surveys, texts of regulations and relevant legal analysis, according to NICSA board chair Nimish Bhatt.

The knowledge base, Bhatt said at NICSA’s 30th Annual Conference and Expo, is an outgrowth of NICSA’s ongoing commitment to educate its membership and to keep them on top of industry trends and developments in services, ops, compliance, fund accounting and information technology.

Previous online services from NICSA for its members include a job bank, a member directory and Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook channels on what it calls the NICSA Network. President Theresa Hamacher also operates a blog, as part of the network.

The services, including the new knowledge base, are available free for NICSA membership

Bhatt also said NICSA will be expanding services for broker-dealers and will be adding staff to support the effort.
