Northern Trust Snags Wealth Manager from RIA Firm

Northern Trust has added financial services veteran Chris Wilkinson to its wealth management team as a wealth strategist in Phoenix. Wilkinson was formerly with Private Client Group LLC, a registered investment advisory firm in Scottsdale, Ariz., where he served as president and chief investment officer.

Wilkinson reports to Managing Director Harold Dorenbecher and is responsible for working with clients to determine “how Northern Trust’s investment and wealth management capabilities may help them reach their financial goals,” the company said in a statement.

Wilkinson has nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. As president and chief investment officer of Private Client Group, he provided clients with customized wealth management solutions based upon their goals, income objectives and capital risk tolerance levels. Prior to that, he was a senior investment counselor and chief investment officer of Miller/Russell & Associates, where he oversaw the institutional wealth management division and the firm’s investment platform.

Northern Trust is a Chicago-based financial holding company with offices in 18 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., and 16 international locations in North America, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.
