The platform supports the companys traditional wholesaling model by providing each sales associate with his or her own Web site that advisors can log onto, the spokeswoman said. Through those sites, advisors will be able to contact Nuveen wholesalers using instant messaging.
The sites will also provide real-time online meetings and presentations, a video presentation library, and news feeds. In addition, the platform includes consultative information on money management that is not specific to Nuveen for both the sales staff as well as advisors, said the spokeswoman.
