Officer of BNY Mellon's Investment Boutique Joins Family Wealth Advisor Team

BNY Mellon has moved a veteran of the firm's investment boutique to its wealth management unit.

Eric Goodbar joined BNY Mellon Wealth Management as a managing director on the Family Wealth Advisor team, which focuses on ultrahigh-net-worth families.  He will be responsible for serving clients throughout the Western region, the firm said.

Goodbar was previously a managing director and global investment strategist at Mellon Capital Management, the San Francisco-based investment boutique of BNY Mellon, where he refined and developed an array of investment strategies, according to the firm. He was with Mellon Capital Management for 10 years.

Prior to BNY Mellon, Goodbar worked at EGM Capital as president of the firm's fund of funds division.

"Eric frequently participates in professional round table discussions and presents at conferences where he is recognized as a thought leader," said Family Wealth Advisor Team Leader and Managing Director Ridgway Powell. "Among other expertise, Eric brings deep knowledge of the commodity and currency markets to the benefit of our clients with highly complex wealth planning needs."
