Online Advice Provider Hires New CEO

Online investment advice provider mPower has hired Andrew Huddart as its new CEO, the company said. He replaces Steve Deschenes, who resigned this year. Huddart took control of the firm earlier this month.

Before joining mPower, Huddart was president of Barra International. He had also served as COO for the risk management systems provider. Before that, Huddart spent 14 years with the international journalism and financial services outfit Reuters, where he oversaw several fixed-income initiatives, including positioning Reuters in the U.S. municipal bond market. He also held several other senior positions in Europe and the U.S.

Deschenes will continue with mPower during the transition of leadership, the firm said. He remains a significant shareholder in the company and will continue indefinitely in an advisory role at the firm
