Online Investment Research Provider Garners New Fund Accounts

Two mutual fund providers, offering a combined 67 funds, have enlisted an investment research hub to provide information about their products to investors, it was announced today.

Canadian firm Sun Life Assurance Co. and Schroder Mutual Funds have enlisted World Investor Link's Fund Info Service to provide information about their funds to investors. The service, which is distributed through, among others, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Barron's, feeds fund companies consumer data about investors who have used the service to research funds.

There is increasing demand for fund research venues as markets have declined and investors are more wary of throwing their money into investment products, said J. Patrick Galleher, World Investor Link's chief operating officer.

The company offers information products in 13 countries.
