Phoenix Publishes Managed Account Book

Phoenix Investment Partners, the investment management subsidiary of The Phoenix Companies has published a handbook called, "The Managed Account Handbook: How to Build Your Financial Advisory Practice Using Separately Managed Accounts." The book focuses on the best practices of top advisors in separately managed accounts.

The book, authored by Stephen D. Gresham, features commentary by more than 40 of the "most successful fee-based advisors" and leading executives in the industry. Gresham is a noted wealth management expert and speaker, and also serves as an executive VP and director of sales and marketing for Phoenix's Private Client Group, according to the company. The book will be available in mid-November.

Some of the topics discussed in the book include information gathering strategies, creating managed account solutions, marketing managed accounts, and how to use managed accounts as part of a wealth management strategy.

"Our mission is to help bring the discipline and process of separately managed accounts to advisors and their clients - and restore the order that this horrendous bear market has caused," Gresham said about the book. "A lot of the damage that's been done could have been avoided through diversification and a consistent process, both hallmarks of the separately managed account approach," he added.
