PSA Encouraging 401(k) Rollovers Wins Emmy in Washington Market

A public service announcement that Fidelity Investments underwrote and the American Savings Education Council and the Employee Benefit Research Institute developed has won an Emmy. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' Washington chapter presented the award to Jon Sullivan, a producer with WJLA television, an ABC affiliate.

"Some people find financial management complex and intimidating," said Cheri Meyer, director of the Choose to Save program. "We try to inject some humor as a way of gaining public attention. We are extremely proud that our PSAs have received recognition and thank all of our partners whose hard work made this possible."

The Choose to Save public service announcements have aired nationally on hundreds of television and radio stations, according to the institute. "We encourage media outlets and other organizations to utilize these PSAs as tools to help put their viewers, listeners and employees on the road to financial security," said Dallas Salisbury, president and chief executive officer of the Employee Benefit Research Institute.
