Business Ethics, a 12-year old newsletter on corporate responsibility, based in Minneapolis, has announced its First Annual Social Investing Leadership Awards to honor those mutual funds that provide strong returns while investing in a "socially-responsible" manner. An independent group knowledgeable about socially-responsible investing, chose the five award-winning companies.
The award winners will be profiled in the January/February issue. They are: Domini Social Equity Fund- U.S. Mid-to Large-Cap Equity Award; Citizens Emerging Growth Fund - U.S. Small- to Mid-Cap Equity Award; Ariel Mutual Funds - U.S. Small-to Mid-Cap Equity Award; U.S. Trust Company of Boston - U.S. Balanced Award and Calvert World Values International Equity Fund - International Award.
