Regions Financial Corp. announced several operational changes to the Regions Funds today, including changing the funds’ name to the Regions Morgan Keegan Select Funds.

The name change reflects the firm’s relationship with Morgan Keegan, the investment management firm that Regions acquired earlier this year, according to the company.

Regions has also added class C shares to the fund complex in order give investors more flexibility in purchasing shares, the firm said.

Finally, Regions has added the Government Money Market Fund, a new money market fund that it began offering on Dec. 3. The new fund compliments its Treasury Money Market Fund, however will pursue a higher return, according to the company.
