The more than 1,300 registered representatives and financial advisors at Ameritas Investment will now be able to breathe easy as they tweet — the RIA and broker-dealer just partnered with Socialware, a provider of social media compliance software.
The software aims to solve one of the most nagging issues for advisors and reps — finding ways to reap the benefits of social media in terms of client engagement and relationship building without running afoul of SEC or FINRA regulations.
Ameritas advisors will be able to “confidently and effectively build valuable relationships and exchange information via social networks” including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, and know that they are safely in compliance with industry rules, according to a joint statement from Ameritas and Socialware.
