Rockefeller Lures State Street Exec

Jeffrey Davis will leave State Street Global Advisors to become Rockefeller & Co.'s chief investment officer, it was announced this week.

Davis has been chief investment officer for State Street's Global Fundamentl Strategies Division for nearly five years. The division managed more than $4 billion in institutional assets and advised $18 billion of high net worth assets. He had been with State Street since 1992.

Davis has also earned a name for himself as a commentator who has appeared on Wall Street Week and CNN Financial News. He has spoken publicly about international investment issues, particularly matters regarding Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Rockefeller & Co. manages roughly $4 billion in assets for individual Rockefeller family members, foundations, endowments and other families worldwide.
