Dowling & Yahnke, a San Diego-based wealth manager, announced it hired Michael Brown as a senior portfolio manager.
Brown spent 15 years working in capital markets as a partner at Deloitte, where he worked with both public companies and private equity investors.
Brown completed his undergrad at Oakland University, where he majored in accounting and received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. After taking the November 1997 Uniform CPA Examination, Brown was awarded the Elijah Watt Sells Silver Medal from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for his outstanding test performance.
“This addition to our outstanding team of professional advisers will allow the firm to better serve our clients now and in the years to come,” Dale Yahnke, one of the firm’s founding partners, said in a press release.
As a member of the CFA Institute and the AICPA, Brown holds both CFA and CPA licenses.
