Thomas Lucey, a senior managing director at Putnam Investments, will retire at the end of June, the company announced yesterday.
Lucey, who oversees Putnams retail, institutional and retirement management business, will be replaced by Steven Spiegel, one of the companys seven other senior managing directors.
Spiegel currently oversees Putnams international distribution and corporate development efforts. He will assume Luceys duties while continuing with his current assignment.
Putnam of Boston is the nations fourth largest mutual fund company with $321 billion under management as of the end of March, according to the company.
