Six Prudential Advisors Go Independent, Partner with LPL

A team of six financial advisors have left Prudential to form Capstone Affluent Strategies, an independent wealth manager that has partnered with LPL Financial.

The Newport Beach, Calif., based wealth management firm has branch offices in Newport Beach, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Parsippany, and New York.

The team advisors, led by Darin Pastor, has over 80 years of collective advisory experience and nearly $450 million in client assets under management.

Pastor was a managing director at Prudential. Before that, he was a senior investment manager at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he was ranked as the top-producing senior investment manager nationally in 2009 and 2010.

“Our team of highly qualified advisors is excited about the move to independence and what it means for our performance,” Pastor said. “We are all confident that this migration will enhance the services and strategies we provide to our high net-worth clients.”

To broaden both the client and advisor experience , Capstone is affiliating LPL. The partnership

will provide Capstone access to additional resources and strategies.

Bill Morrissey, an executive vice president of business development at LPL, said, “We believe their decision to partner with LPL Financial will further empower their ability to provide comprehensive support and services to their clients, and support their team even as they embark upon a new stage of growth and development for their business.”

Capstone plans to bring on 15 additional advisors to the firm within the next two months.
