Smith Barney’s separately managed account division, the Consulting Group, has added five portfolios to two of its SMA platforms. For Smith Barney’s Fiduciary Services platform, Goldman Sachs is now the investment manager of the Strategic Growth Portfolio, while Citigroup is the manager of the Value Balanced and the Value Balanced Tax Favored portfolio.

In addition, Smith Barney has added two portfolios to the Market Neutral Investments Portfolio. These are the Convertible Arbitrage portfolio from Camden Asset Management and the Equity Market Neutral portfolio from Freeman Associates Investment Management.

Although Smith Barney offers more than 130 investment choices from 65 investment managers in its SMA division, the firm said it is always looking to offer more to meet investors’ increasing demands for choice.

"Our goal is to continually search for high-quality managers to enhance the diversification potential of our managed money platforms," said Lee Pease, director of portfolio advisory services for Consulting Group.
