SS&C Technologies Holdings has completed its acquisition of BDO Simpson Xavier Fund Administration Services Limited, in Dublin, Ireland.
The Windsor, Conn., provider of investment and financial software-enabled services and software said the Irish fund administrator will become part of its global fund administration business.
The acquisition of the regulated and operational office in Dublin “provides SS&C entry into the strategically important European regulated funds market, providing support for additional fund structures,” including Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) and Qualifying Investor funds, the company said.
SS&C is trying to introduce its portal and mobile technologies to Europe. SS&C's global fund administration business has $224 billion in assets under administration and approximately 500 staff to service the hedge fund, fund of funds, private equity and managed accounts companies.
The deal was announced on August 19.
