State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), the asset management unit of State Street Corp., has named Peter Lert as a principal to serve as product engineer and portfolio manager in the firm's global enhanced equity area. Lert will report to Sean Flannery, a SSgA principal and director of product engineering.
"Peter will be a valuable addition to our enhanced strategies group, as he brings both quantitative expertise and a solid understanding of the investment business - from portfolio and strategy development to technology innovation and trading operations management," Flannery said.
Lert joins SSgA from Fidelity Investments, where he served most recently as vice president for strategic services. He previously served as manager of trading analysis services at Fidelity. In that role, he developed trading performance measures and implementation strategies. Prior to joining Fidelity, Lert served as an equity research analyst at Batterymarch Financial Management.
