An equity mutual fund run by Britain's Standard Life Investments took first place in the performance rankings for UK-registered funds, according to a report issued by Lipper on Wednesday.

The Standard American Equity Growth Retail portfolio rose 4.49% in the week ended April 29. The CF Ruffer Greenwich Fund was the runner-up last week, posting a 3.18% gain, while the JP Morgan Fleming Japan fund, was the show horse, netting a 3% gain.
