State Street Corp. has named Joseph Antonellis chief information officer and head of its information technology group. He replaces John Fiore, who is leaving State Street to pursue other business interests, according to a company spokeswoman.
Antonellis will be in charge of managing, developing and implementing State Street's global technology strategy. The information technology group is responsible for developing products that support the firm's investment strategies as well as developing and implementing global architecture to support large-scale transaction processing and product capabilities.
Antonellis joined State Street in 1991. Since then he has held several senior executive positions, including head of State Street Global Financial Services. He was named executive vice president in 1999 and has served most recently as head of the firm's strategy development office.
