TD Ameritrade RIA Education Center for Advisors

TD Ameritrade Institutional has expanded its free online educational platform designed for independent advisor clients.

The Omaha, Neb.-based custodian giant announced Monday a redesign of its online Education Center that allows financial advisors to earn continuing-education credits while also boosting their own knowledge. The service is available at no cost to registered investment advisors who use the custody services of TD Ameritrade.

In addition to adding more resources, the online educational site will also be easier for advisors to search and navigate, according to TD Ameritrade officials.

Educational resources can be browsed by format including online learning courses, webcasts, live workshops and white papers.

Advisors and other employees at RIA firms who use the center have access to 40 complimentary on-demand CE courses that help maintain their certified financial planner designations through a partnership with the College for Financial Planning. The center offers more than 1,200 e-learning courses and future content is planned from industry experts at FA Insight, Invesco, Legg Mason and SPDR University.

“This powerful combination of content, technology and different learning experiences makes our new Education Center among the most robust offerings in the industry,” Jim Dario, managing director of product management at TD Ameritrade Institutional, said in a statement. “TD Ameritrade provides advisors the resources to help improve the performance of their employees and over time, bolster their efforts to increase the value of their firms.”
