TD Waterhouse will now distribute Nebraska’s 529 plan. The firm announced today that it has partnered with the State of Nebraska’s Treasurer’s Office and Union Bank & Trust Co., the plan’s program manger.

The TD Waterhouse College Savings Plan will be offered to the firm’s retail brokerage customers as well as the more than 2,600 independent financial advisers in the TD Waterhouse Institutional Services’ network.

Nebraska’s 529 plan uses a multi-manager approach. Among the investment management companies currently partnered with the plan are American Century, Fidelity, PIMCO, State Street Global Advisors, T. Rowe Price and Vanguard.

"The introduction of a 529 plan is one more step in our efforts to offer investors and independent financial advisors a one-stop line up of the most comprehensive financial planning tools and services available," said Elizabeth Butler, first VP, Marketing for TD Waterhouse, in a statement.
