Third Avenue Funds of New York has hired Brandon Stranzl as a research analyst. He will be responsible for picking and researching the stocks of "distressed companies" as well as undervalued equities of well-capitalized firms, Third Avenue said in a statement.
The firm manages four funds containing $3.5 billion in assets.
Prior to joining the firm, Stranzl was a research analyst at Morgan Stanley Asset Management where he researched and managed restructurings and high-yield investments in several industries.
