Thrivent Combines Income Classes in One Fund

Thrivent Investment Management has introduced a mutual fund that combines all income-producing asset classes. Called the Thrivent Diversified Income Fund, it invests in high yield bonds, investment-grade bonds, dividend-paying stocks, real estate investment trust equities and other securities.

The fund is designed to produce income that will keep pace with inflation, to mitigate risk through diversification and periodic reallocation, and to grow principal.

Managed by Mark Simenstad, it is being offered through Thrivent's network of 2,500 registered representatives.

"The fund is a simple solution, but backed by a sophisticated approach," said Russell Swansen, senior vice president and chief investment officer. "It's actively monitored and adjusted as needed based on changing market conditions to optimize the opportunity for growth."
