Total Global Fund Assets Dropped 10% in Six Months

A provider of information and online tools to accountants has partnered with Morningstar and will offer some of the fund researcher's services through its own Web site, it was announced today.

Under the deal CPA2Biz's site will feature Morningtar's reporting, due diligence, editorial content and other information services, according to a statement released by the companies. The move is an effort to more-effectively service the CPA distribution channel, which includes an estimated 90,000 accountants who do some sort of financial planning.

The companies site a study showing that 56% of accountants with public practices now offer either investment planning or intend to do so. CPA2Biz says the Morningstar tools will help accountants expand that aspect of their businesses by offering easy-access tools via the Net.

Other CPA2Biz partners include Microsoft, Aeon Corp., and Thomson Corp., which is the parent company of Thomson Financial, publisher of MFMN.
