Transamerica Expands Retirement Plan Options

Transamerica Retirement Services has added 50 investment options to its retirement platform, the largest number it has ever added at one time. In so doing, the platform now has a total of 144 options from 30 investment companies, Transamerica said, creating "one of the most robust retirement plan solutions for small- to mid-size businesses."

Options include target-date, strategic allocation, hybrid and other specialty funds from companies including BlackRock, Fidelity Investments, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Vanguard.

"This is the first time we have added this many investment alternatives to our 401(k) platform at one time," said Kent Callahan, president and CEO of Transamerica Retirement Services. "Today's plan participant demands more diversification and choice when it comes to deciding what investment strategy style works best for them."
