Turner Hires Director For Distribution Unit

Investment manager Turner Investment Partners has hired William Costin to market the firm's sub-advisory services and family of mutual funds throughout a 14-state region in the Northern U.S., the firm said.

The move is part of a year-long effort to ramp up the firm's sub-advisory business by hiring several executives who will boost the firm's sales through intermediaries. The company has hired nine new staff members in 13 months to take part in the initiative.

Costin will serve as a regional account director in that unit and will be responsible for marketing the firm's sub-advisory services as well as the Turner Funds, a family of 19 no-load products managed by the company. The products will be targeted at the defined contribution and fee-based investment advisor channels.

Costin, previously served as CEO of Connectys, which develops software for higher education.
