American Express Financial Advisors (soon to be Ameriprise Financial) has hired two executives to manage sales for the company's American Express-branded products. The company has named Jeff McGregor vice president and national sales manager for inside product distribution; and Marty Griffin as vice president and general manager of outside product distribution.

McGregor is in charge of wholesaling American Express's proprietary funds to the field force of over 10,500 advisers throughout the country. He most recently served as president at AXA Financial, where he was responsible for the sales of mutual funds, annuities and life insurance in the wirehouse, regional and independent distribution channels.

Griffin is in charge of wholesaling to banks and broker/dealers and leads the effort to expand third-party distribution for insurance and mutual funds. He most recently served in a senior executive position at Genworth Financial, where he led the development of the GE Retirement Answer product suite.
