UBS Hires Two-Member Morgan Stanley Team in Arizona

UBS Wealth Management Americas continues to build on its recent hiring spree with the addition of a two-member Morgan Stanley Smith Barney financial advisor team in Tucson, Ariz.

The team, which operates under the name Meyer Stout Group, includes Matthew Meyer and Christian Stout. They previously had $1.3 million in annual fees and commissions and $133 million in assets under management. They report to UBS branch manager Charlie Cajero.

Both Meyer and Stout have been registered with UBS since June 29, according to records from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Meyer had been employed with Morgan Stanley since 1996, FINRA records show, while Stout has been with Morgan Stanley since 2002.

The new hires come as UBS said last week that it had hired 38 new financial advisors in June. The most recent additions included RBC Securities advisor Irwin Shapiro in Beverly Hills, Calif., and JPMorgan advisors Dimitrios Michelis and Garrick Montenegro in New York.
