Unit investment trusts had $2.94 billion in sales in April, sustaining 1999 sales at roughly the same pace as last year's, the Investment Company Institute reported. Through April, unit investment trust sponsors had sales of $19.62 billion for the year, compared with $19.93 billion over the same period in 1998, the ICI reported.
