Update: Fifth Third Announces New Director of Wealth Planning

Fifth Third Private Bank, a division of Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bank, has hired wealth management executive Jeff Martin as its director of wealth planning. In the newly created position, Martin will lead a team that provides wealth-planning services for high-net-worth individuals and senior executives.

The position was created in response to customer needs, said Phil McHugh, executive vice president and head of the Fifth Third Private Bank.  “Clients across the wealth spectrum desire a financial plan that their advisors assist in completing,” he said.  In addition, clients want financial advisors to challenge them in achieving their plans, McHugh noted.

Martin, who joined the bank in September, will ensure that service delivery is consistent across all wealth segments, said McHugh.

In a statement, McHugh lauded Martin’s “strategic insights and significant financial consulting experience,” saying that they will help “clients understand their entire financial picture” and “guide them toward the best options for their wealth planning and financial futures.”
