U.S. Bank Names Central Region President for HNW Business

U.S. Bank has snagged an executive from BMO Private Bank to lead the bank’s high-net-worth wealth management business in the U.S. central region.

Jason Stamm will be responsible for overseeing the growth of the Private Client Reserve unit in Chicago, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Minneapolis/St. Paul, St. Louis and Madison, Wis., among other cities in region, the Minneapolis-based bank announced Tuesday. He will lead a team of more than 350 investment, trust, private banking and financial planning professionals.

Stamm succeeds Mike Ott, who was recently named president of the Private Client Reserve following Michael Boardman’s departure for JP Morgan Chase to lead Chase Wealth Management in October.

Stamm, a longtime veteran of BMO Private Bank, most recently served as regional president, leading the business operations and talent integration for the private bank of BMO, Harris Bank and Marshall & Ilsley in the north central region. He has been with BMO Private Bank and its predecessors since 1996, according to the bank’s press release.

“Jason is a proven leader with the right combination of experience, sales results and passion for growing our business in the central region,” Ott said in a statement. “We are thrilled that he has chosen U.S. Bank, and I am confident that he will make a meaningful contribution to our business, team and clients.”
