U.S. News Creates Portal Scoring 4,500 Mutual Funds

U.S. News Media Group has created an online portal scoring 4,500 funds by integrating the rankings of Morningstar, Lipper, Zacks, TheStreet.com and Standard & Poor’s.

Factors that the portal concentrates on include short- and long-term performance, risk and downside protection, expenses, future prospects and management. Investors can also view top-performing funds by investment mandate, including large growth, large value, large blend, diversified emerging markets, health, short-term bond, intermediate-term bond, intermediate government bond, world bond and moderate allocation.

“The volatile markets of the past decade have made investing in mutual funds increasingly more complicated,” said U.S. News Editor Brian Kelly. “We hope the information on our Best Mutual Funds portal will make understanding these investments a little easier.”
