U.S. Trust Adds 14 Wealth Executives Nationally

In an effort to continue its national expansion, U.S. Trust, a unit of Bank of America, has hired 14 wealth management executives.

The new wealth advisors, hired in “key market nationally,” are part of an aggressive talent acquisition campaign, were added “to enhance the depth and breadth of U.S. Trust’s service capabilities for its ultra-high net worth clientele,” the firm announced.

The company added six wealth executives in California, two in St. Louis, two in Washington state, one in Portland, Ore., one in Nasvhille, one in Portland, Maine, and one in Chicago.

The appointments are: Dino Aloisio, a senior vice president and private client advisor in Los Angeles; John Benun, a senior vice president and private client advisor in Century City, Calif.; Donna Botkin, a senior vice president and senior trust officer in St. Louis; Tyler Brock, a vice president and private client consultant in San Francisco; Warren S. Cohn, a senior vice president and private client advisor in Century City; John M. Corby, a senior vice president and senior portfolio manager in Seattle; Jon Hearn, a senior vice president and private client advisor in Bellevue, Wash.; Mark Kessinger, a senior vice president and portfolio manager in St. Louis; Elizabeth Kurman, a vice president and senior trust officer in Chicago; Teresa Meyer, a senior vice president and portfolio manager in Portland, Ore.; Christopher Robinson, a senior vice president and private client advisor in Portland, Maine; Jeff Scofield, a senior vice president and private client advisor in Pasadena, Calif.; George D. Smith Jr., a senior vice president and portfolio manager in Nashville; and Margaret A. Zywicz, a senior trust officer and fiduciary professional in San Francisco.

Aloisio, who has more than 20 years of securities brokerage, asset management and banking experience, was a national retail sales manager for Union Bank, where he was responsible for the overall sales and supervisory duties associated with managing their team of financial advisors and private bankers.

Benun was a vice president in charge of corporate development at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, where he was responsible for developing new distribution channels and expanding the firm’s footprint in both Hawaii and Southern California.

Botkin was most recently a vice president and wealth management advisor with the U.S. Bank Private Client Reserve, where she managed investments on behalf of ultra-high net worth clients.

Brock, who has nearly 10 years of wealth management experience, worked for Presidio Financial Partners and Bernstein Global Wealth Management, where he developed and managed investment plans for private wealth clients.

Cohn, who brings 20 years of private wealth management industry experience to U.S. Trust, previously worked for BNY Mellon, where he managed its entertainment practice as a senior director of sales for IM&T clients.

Corby, who has more than 25 years of experience in the areas of securities analysis and portfolio management for both institutional and individual clients, was an executive vice president of investments for Rigel Capital LLC, an institutional investment management firm in Seattle.

Hearn, who has more than two decades of experience working with non-profit organizations and ultra-high net worth families, was with an alternative investments firm, where he was a managing director of business development.

Kessinger, who brings more than 25 years of wealth management experience, previously worked at Northern Trust, where he managed investment policies and strategies for high net worth individuals.

Kurman also previously worked at Northern Trust, where she was a vice president and trust relationship manager in its personal financial services unit.

Meyer, who has nearly 25 years of wealth management and institutional equity research experience, was a senior vice president of institutional equity sales for D.A. Davidson & Co.

Robinson, who brings nearly 18 years of private wealth experience, was a vice president in UBS’ private wealth management division.

Scofield previously worked for Wells Fargo Advisors, where he was a branch manager overseeing a team of financial advisors. He has 18 years of industry experience, including a decade of wealth management experience prior to assuming management responsibilities.

Smith was the head of portfolio strategies with SunTrust Institutional Investment Advisors.  He comes to U.S. Trust with more than 20 years of client investment advisory experience.

Zywicz, who has more than 15 years of wealth management experience, specializing in estate planning with an emphasis on charitable planning and administration, most recently had worked for The American Heart Association as the director of charitable estate planning for the Northern California and Oregon region, with a primary responsibility of finalizing planned gift initiatives and stewarding donor relationships.

U.S. Trust is part of Bank of America’s Global Wealth & Investment Management unit. It is responsible for $308 billion in client assets. It employs more than 4,000 professionals and maintains 140 offices in 32 states.
