Vanguard Will Offer Online Account Aggregation

The Vanguard Group of Malvern, Pa. announced today that it is adding new financial management services for shareholders. A new area for the services will be introduced on Vanguard’s website next month and the company will phase the new services in throughout the year, according to the company.

One of the new services that will be offered is an online account aggregation platform through the Consolidated View service of CashEdge of New York, according to the announcement. Shareholders will be able to view all of their investments, including Vanguard funds, other funds, brokerage accounts, and any other financial accounts on a single web page.
Shareholders will also be able to obtain personalized performance reports and transaction histories for the past five years for mutual fund holdings and three years for brokerage holdings, according to the announcement.
Shareholders will be able to request live online assistance so that a Vanguard associate can help the shareholders while viewing their online portfolios by both explaining online functions and actually controlling the shareholders' browsers and navigating them through the site, the company said.
Finally, shareholders will have the option of selecting one of three levels of privacy and security control ranging from the use of a password with each login to automatic updates, the company said.
