Sandip Bhagat has resigned as head of Vanguards Equity Investment Group, according to a regulatory filing.
A vanguard spokesperson was not immediately available to comment on Bhagats replacement.
Vanguard today also officially bid farewell to George Gus Sauter, former chief investment officer and managing director of Vanguard.
In his stead, Mortimer Buckley, has assumed the role of chief investment officer, responsible for the oversight of Vanguards Equity Investment and Fixed Income Groups. The investments managed by these two groups include active quantitative equity funds, equity index funds, active bond funds, index bond funds, stable value portfolios, and money market funds.
Buckley has also assumed Sauters responsibilities on the investment committee for Vanguard Managed Payout Funds. Buckley joined Vanguard in 1991 and has held various senior leadership positions with Vanguard.
