Video Game Industry Index is Launched

EE Fund Management, an investment firm that specializes in the video game industry, has launched a corresponding index. Called EEndex (for electronic entertainment), the index is comprised of 45 stocks that trade in nine countries for a market capitalization equivalent to $126 billion.

The companies in the index cover video game hardware, software, intellectual property and retail sales. EE Fund Management market weights the stocks in the index, reducing the value of those that aren’t of pure-play video game firms.

“We are excited to introduce EEndex, which we believe is the best barometer for the growth and volatility of this dynamic and ever-evolving industry,” said Ted Pollak, president of EE Fund Management. “We are now devoting all efforts to launching actively and passively managed mutual fund exchange-traded funds for this sector.”
