Villanova/Gartmore Partnership Announce Management Addition

Villanova Capital, the U.S. asset management unit of Nationwide Financial Services, and Gartmore Investment Management have named Young Chin CIO of the U.S. arm of their global investment platform.

This past April, Villanova and Gartmore announced the merger of their investment divisions. The U.S. investment operation is based at Villanova’s headquarters outside Philadelphia. Currently, the companies have approximately $94 billion in combined assets under management.

Previously, Chin served as managing director and head of equity for New York-based Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., where he oversaw portfolio management, investment research and trading.

William Miller had been serving as interim CIO for Villanova’s U.S. division. He will continue to serve as co-manager of the Gartmore Total Return Fund and the Nationwide Separate Account Trust Total Return Fund.
