Vontobel Asset Management said this week that its distributor, Vontel Fund Distributors has formed a strategic alliance with ROI Capital Management to internationally market the onshore and offshore ROI Partners Fund to institutions and endowments.

The fund, which launched in 1993, is a long/short product that invests primarily in small-cap firms as well as those that are under-researched and under-valued. The fund has assets of roughly $22.5 million and requires a minimum investment of $250,000.

Peter Newell, Vontobel Asset Management’s managing director, said that the partnership was an opportunity "to add a single-strategy manager with a clear investment process" to Vontobel’s hedge fund platform.
