Waddell & Reed Financial’s third quarter net income remained virtually flat, rising only $100,000, or 0.2%, to $24.6 million from $24.5 million a year earlier.

Earnings per share remained unchanged from a year ago at 30 cents.

Revenue, however, rose 13.5% to $178.6 million, up from $157.5 million a year ago. That came in slightly below analysts’ expectations of $181 million in revenue and earnings per share of 33 cents.
